The Korea-Japan Friendship Network of University Students

The Korea-Japan Friendship Network of University Students was organized to promote mutual understanding and friendship between Korea and Japan, and peaceful situation of East Asia through exchanges and cooperation between Japanese and Korean university students in Japan.

Since the establishment of this network, it has focused on the theme, “our role for peace building in Northeast Asia,” and facilitated academic, cultural, and sports exchanges with an eye toward “continuous exchange” and “active exchange.”

Furthermore, it has held international exchange with the University of Trier in Germany since 2006.

The Korea-Japan Friendship Network of University Students has also engaged in cleanup activities of Tamagawa Aqueduct in Kodaira, Tokyo for “more beautiful and comfortable” environment.

The main purpose of the Korea-Japan Friendship Network of University Students is to facilitate mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and the Korean Peninsula not only with Japanese and Koreans students in Japan but also with those from South Korea. Three years have passed since I belonged to this network. Every activity gives me new discovery. I really enjoy this fantastic occasion. We sincerely appreciate assistance from the foundation, and hope for continuous support for our activities.
